John Szewczykat 6:46pm March 08 Hi, Caren!! Abt pain-that's always there to some degree. Quitting is an 'easy way out' of solving the issue. I've known what pain is because of my illness-It's always important to have the fortitude-make the rt decisions-then look forward!! That's been my experience over the past 6 yrs. Pse keep in touch!! JohnS.
John Szewczykat 4:32pm March 06 unfortunately 'cost cutting' causes the ax 2 fall at the wrong place. I feel that all colleges/universities offer useless subjects/degrees-forgetting the priorities. Reality is that everyone must spend money wisely-what abt administration costs?

John Szewczykat 6:01pm February 19 Hello,Caren!! The only answer(s) to fitness in general are: commitment, efforts to reach a particular goal and never have unrealistic expecttions 4 urself. I never would have believed that fitness could make in a short time. My self-esteem is quite improved.

John Szewczykat 8:55pm February 12 Hi, Caren!! All of ur posts are very motivational-tnx 4 those. I agree with that one-the last 6 yrs have been very challenging in many ways-especially the last 18 months. It simply was a 'wake-up call'. I've learned frm this experience-occasionally I 'look bk' as a reality chk. Last yr at this time-I still wasn't walking. I never realized that exercise could change so much. I'm thinking this comment would fit to the one posted above. Take care-have a good week!!

John Szewczykat 6:03pm February 01 Hi, Caren!! I like the 'daily horoscope' its plenty of motivation. On this end-things are better-I'm still losing wt-some of the meds are being changed/eliminated-quite a change frm last yr! I'm 'grounded' frm the 'land exercises for a while-Any ideas abt water exercises-I can't b on my feet. Take care-all the best!! JohnS.
Caren Bat 6:59pm February 01 Are there any water exercise classes at your local pool?
Melya Watyat 8:49pm January 10 Not really....ever tried making resolution once, it worked but sounds too organized so prefer to just let it flow ;)
John Szewczykat 7:20pm January 11 My resolution for 2010 is a simple one-Always try and give my best efforts-whatever it may be. Always try and learn at least one thing new everyday. Look FORWARD everyday and learn frm your past mistakes.

When I started
I started swim lessons when I was about 5.
How I started
I started going to swim lessons each summer and instantly loved it from day one.
Why I love it
What I enjoy most about swimming is tuning everything else out around me. I'm able to put aside my worries and just focus on the feel of the water. When I'm in the pool I can totally unplug and get away from everything.
How I stay motivated
I stay motivated by reminding myself that swimming makes me stronger and more fit. I'm swimming in a meet this year for the first time in a LONG time so I'm trying to get in decent shape for that!
